Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
